Background and Certifications
My fitness journey began at a very young age. Being a competitive figure skater at nine years old, I was required to participate in extensive off-ice conditioning and training. This included dance, stretching, plyometrics, and weight lifting. At 11 years old I could leg press close to 300 lbs and bench press 95 lbs. From that age, I had a passion for what the body was capable of doing. I continued going to the gym and training all through my teenage years and when I went to the University of Kentucky I majored in Kinesiology. Once I completed my education, I put my figure skating coaching on hold to join numerous touring companies around the world as a professional performer (skater and dancer). Between tours, I decided to attain my Certification as a Personal Trainer through ISSA. After retiring from life on the road, I now take great enjoyment in assisting clients of all shapes, sizes, and age to reach their own fitness goals.
